Claymont Welcomes New Rehabilitation Manager

February 21, 2020
Uhrichsville, Ohio - We are excited to introduce a new member of our team! Please help us welcome Heather Strous to our team at Claymont Health & Rehabilitation!

Heather has been an employee of our therapy provider, Encore, for the past six months, but she was just transferred to our building as our new Rehab Manager. We are so happy to have her here to fill this important role! Heather is an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has practiced in this field for the last five years. Heather completed her education to become an OTA at Zane State University.

Before working in long term care, Heather gained experience working as an OTA in a rehabilitation hospital. After her position in the hospital setting, she transitioned into her career in long term care. She has now worked in nursing facilities for two years. Heather enjoys this career because she said that she loves to help others. Being able to provide the best care is very important to her. Her main goal when working with her patients is to give them the best quality of life possible. Seeing the excitement when a patient reaches their goals is why Heather became and OTA! We are excited to have her here to help our residents excel.

When Heather is not working with patients, she is at home spending time with her family. Heather is married and has two children. Her kids are both very active in sports, which keeps their family very busy going to practices and games. For fun, Heather and her husband like to spend time with their friends and to vacation. Each year they pick a different destination to visit on their family vacation, usually a beach!

Please feel free to stop by and meet Heather at the facility. Again, welcome Heather! We are excited to have you on our team!
